In 1994, this aircraft was involved in an accident, while being operated on floats. There were no injuries. At the time it was a 150-hp Cub. The next two years were spent rebuilding this aircraft from the ground up, and modified to the 180-hp Cub, using the Crosswinds (Charlie Center) STC. A zero-time engine, overhauled by PennYan, was used, and literally everything from the firewall forward is different, not only from the stock 150-hp Cub, but also better than the other, more air-restrictive, 180-hp modification. This Cub was recovered in Ceconite, and has numerous field approvals that were granted when the FAA was a little more "user friendly" than they are today about field approvals. In fact, currently the "engineering" required of field approvals today make it almost cost prohibitive to employ them. This Cub has been operated, and maintained under our air taxi certificate, and the rules of Part 135. This Cub is a fantastic performer and is for sale only because we simply don't fly the airplane.....as verified by the low hours since total rebuild. This Cub is being offered with the EDO 2000 floats, wheels, skis, and many extras. I won't consider selling the floats or skis separate, unless the aircraft sells first.
