Located on Kodiak Island's protected east side, 65 miles southeast of Kodiak city.
Accessible by three-hour boat ride or a 25-minute flight.
(Several airlines have daily scheduled flights). An Alutiiq Native village with a population of 325, Old Harbor's  moderate temperatures leave waters unfrozen in winter. Summer days are between 50-70 F.

Alutiiq Native, Jeff Peterson was born and raised in the village of Old Harbor Alaska.  At the age of 13 he was given his first boat and set out on the waters of Alaska, making him one of today's safest and most experienced charter boat operators on the island. He is U.S. Coast Guard licensed, and holds a special sports fishing permit to guide in the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge. He also holds a Big Game Outfitters license.

Island Air now has three scheduled flights a day in to Old Harbor - even during the winter months when day light hours are limited. For reservations call 907-486-6196. Cost is $61 per person.
