Welcome
to my Studio!

My
studio resides in Anchorage, Alaska; USA nestled in the woods where
moose are frequent visitors. Tue
Lervad from Denmark superbly crafted both of my large (240cm
and 140 cm width) beech wood looms. They are beautiful pieces of
furniture, sculptural art!
This
is my space where I can be so inspired that the clock stops ticking
and the rest of the world disappears. Nothing matters other than
what I am doing.
I weave
tapestries and have plans to expand to other fiber arts with lots
of exciting ideas that are less tedious to realize. I have great
aspirations. Time will tell what my future works will be like.

My
training at the
Manufactures Nationales des Gobelins in Paris, France has taught
me to weave on an upright loom from the back and sometimes sideways
to the image. I do not see the front of the tapestry till it is
cut-off the loom. Only a small mirror allows me to see the small
portion I am working on at the moment.
I
have another large space with an empty wall where I draw and compose
my images. On a huge working table I sew the slits of the tapestry.
I love
the view from my studio, in summer or winter. Personally, I almost
like the winters better than the summers.
