NEA-Alaska Delegate Assembly

There is one delegate for every 25 members-- approximately 37 delegates total. Because this is a two year term, approximately half of our delegates are elected each year. This election occurs in April.

Responsibilites and duties are as follows: 1)Attends the Policy Assembly (A Tuesday evening and Saturday in early winter) 2)Attends the FEA Pre-Delegate Assembly meeting (A week or two before Delegate Assembly) 3)Attends Delegate Assembly in Anchorage in January (Thursday evening through late Saturday night--transportation and three day Per Diem paid by FEA) 4)Attends all caucus meetings at Delegate Assembly 5)Attends all Business sessions at Delegate Assembly (Until business is complete) 6)Communicates with FEA Building Representatives in your building

NEA-AK Board Members are Tim Parker and Tammy Smith.

The 2008 NEA-Alaska Delegate Assembly will be held at the Anchorage Hilton Hotel.
