This is our camp in a cirque overlooking the upper valley of the East Fork of the Eklutna Valley. (The valley is often over a mile deep) Chris's tent is the yellow dot above and to the left of the gorge.

Normally alert ground squirrel asleep on the job. I got closer, thinking he was ill or hurt and yelled "HEY SQUIRREL!". Luckily instead of biting me and giving me rabies, he jumped, yelled, and ran away.

Winner Creek. I found the perfect picnic spot for the perfect date under a glacier on this creek. Unfortunately you have to wade through muddy water and thrash through thick brush for a few hours to get there.
