Isaac Barton Dawson, 84, re- tired farmer, died yesterday af- ternoon at l2:.45 o'c1ock at the King's Daughters Hospital fol- lowing a short illness. He had been in failing health for some time Son of the late Amos and Re- becca Burgess Dawson, he was a native of East Tennessee and had lived in Maury County most of his life where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Loyal Chapel of the Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the chruch by the Rev. J. B. Bloss pastor. Funeral services were conducted at the Friendship Church Friday at 3 o'clock for Mrs. Alice Franklin Dawson, aged 79, wife of Ike B. Dawgon, who died Thursday night at 9:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Bramlette, of Culleoka. The rites were conducted by the Rev. C. W. Lindeman, pastor of Church of the Nazarene. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Dawson, a member of the Church of the Nazarene, had made her home with Mrs. Bramlette for a number of years. Besides her husband and daugh- ter she is survived by four sons, Reuben and Emmett Dawson, of Co- lumbia, Marvine Daweon, Williams- port Pike, and Clifford Dawson, of McCalns, one sister, ten grand- children and a number of half brothers and half sisters. "Wayne" Dawson, 84, husband of Mrs. Lillie Blocker Dawson of 207 6th Avenue, died early Saturday night at his home; following several months illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at Oakes & Nichols Chapel. Rev. W. Clyde Martin, pastor of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. A native of Maury County, be was the son of the late Amos and Liza Crumley Dawson. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Church. He moved to Columbia 20 years ago from the Cross Bridges Community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Cleo Wade of Florence, Ala Mrs Willie Mae Brooks of Atlanta and Mrs. Thelma LaVecchia of Cam- den, N. J.; two sons, Leslie H. Dawson of the Campbell Station Community and Kelsie Dawson of Cross Bridges. He is also survived by eleven grahdchitdren and nine- teen great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pall- bearers. Mrs Leona Dawson Mrs Leona Dawson, wife of the late Phil Dawson, died last thurday afternoon at her residence at Cross Bridges at the age 79 Mrs. Dawson had been a member of the Methodist church since girlhood and was a lovabIe charactar who's death created much sorrow throughout the community. He nad been an employe of the L & N Railroad since 1944 He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. On July 15, 1939, Mr. Dawson married the former Wilma Allen who survives. The Alabama native was the daughter of the late Sam T. and Martha Wright Burns, and was a member of Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. A son, James Dawson, preceded her in death in 1975.
