Re: Phillip, son of Amos, '29.....is being moved to a different mother.

In previous charts Phillip, born 1851, has been listed as a son of Amos b. 1829 and Rebecca 
Burgess.  However, anecdotal evidence from three separate events has caused me to move Phil to 
the family of Amos b. 1829 and his second wife, Liz Crumley.

The first clue that something was amiss came when I found a photo that Alleene had sent me, which
 had handwriting on the back which said Phil, John, AVWayne.

The second clue came when Keith Harris joined the Dawson group  in July, 2006, through his 
ancestor Phoebe Dawson, daughter of Amos and Liz.  Keith had Phillip in his line, whereas  I 
hesitated to move him because of the date on the tombstone, of which I have a photo.  

The third clue came shortly after Keith joined, when I was reviewing old emails and came across a 
note from Kathy who said Alleene told her Phoebe and Phil were both children of Liz Crumley.

Here is an exerpt from that note, written in Feb., 2006: At the time this note was written, I didn't 
understand the significance of either Phil or Phoebe.  
"mom laughed when i told her you wanted to know what happened to rebecca burgess.  that's the 
family mystery.  amos and liza had uncle philip, uncle wayne, uncle john and a daughter named 
phoebe.  mom doesn't know anything else about phoebe. "  

Therefore, this Alert is posted so that perhaps everyone might want to update any charts they may 
have to show Phillip and Phoebe in with the family of Liz Crumley instead of Rebecca Burgess.
