laska is served by many major airlines. You will have no problem booking a commercial airline flight from any part of the world directly into Anchorage International Airport. helatna Lake Lodge is located away from the road system, and can be accessed by airplane only. The lodge is about one-hundred miles northwest of Anchorage, which is less than an hour's flight away. You may either hire an air-taxi in Anchorage to fly you directly to the lodge, or you may want to take the scenic two-hour drive to Talkeetna and depart by air-taxi from there. Talkeetna is the nearest road community, and is about forty-five miles east of the lodge. It is a twenty-five minute air flight away. Air-taxis are numerous in either Anchorage or Talkeetna, (the two closest bases of operation to our lodge) and are the best connection to the lodge. The lodge is happy to arrange an air-taxi flight that will suit your needs to take you to the lodge. hether you leave from Anchorage or Talkeetna, your flight will cover some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. On a clear day, you can see Mt. McKinley, America's tallest peak, and the breathtaking thirty-five mile long Kahiltna Glacier ice field of Denali National Park, as well as mountains, lakes and rivers too numerous to count. In less than an hour,  your air-taxi will deliver you right to our doorstep on the banks of Chelatna Lake. If you wish to fly to the lodge in your own aircraft, we can accommodate either wheeled aircraft on our adjacent 1400 foot gravel airstrip, or float equipped aircraft on eight-mile long Chelatna Lake. Prior arrangments should be made with the lodge.
