Welcome
Most recent updates to various pages: March 12, 2009, includes corrected information on the original Mystery Photo, some anecdotal stories, and two new pictures: Dick Hight Family, and George Hight. Credit for this new information goes to Joe Mack Hight.
This is the newly updated Hight, Craig, Thrasher and relations website. It will focus on collecting and identifying pictures and identities of various people related to James Cordie Hight, his brothers/sisters, ancestors, homes, and so forth. As time progresses, the site has expanded back in time and to the side to include much more history than was originally thought to be available.
The area of the Hight Home Place had an interesting history, rich with family stories and Civil War activity, but all is changing and will soon be lost without people documenting what they remember. This discussion has brought together a lot of history from not only the original Hight Home Place but also the other homes that belonged to Hight descendants and which then became their own Hight Home Place. The term has grown in magnitude very quickly.
Bill Thrasher has been instrumental in the work, seeing as how he provided almost all pictures, and most of the narrative.
John White has also helped immensely by providing insights, data on the names and dates, and information about the construction of the homes, since his ancestor built the Hight Home Place called Netties Place, and also the Whites owned much land in the same area.
THANKS BILL, and JOHN.

Summary of Relationships
Summary Chart
Edititorial Comment: Note that some the people with the gen. #4 are listed twice. This appears to my mind to be caused by the marriage of first cousins. Brother and Sister Charnel and Patsy gen#2 ....had children who married (i.e. First Cousins), which made their children second cousins (gen#3) , and thereby the #4 people show up twice on this list. I am open to discussion and correction on this, but with all information I have been able to collect and collate, this is the only explanation I have for why the #4 people show up twice.
