About the artist

G. A. Bystedt worked on the Trans Alaska Pipeline from the original construction in 1974 through 2001. The Alaska Display was included the Washington DC time capsule opening in 2049. Bystedt lives in Fairbanks and continues to work full time as a metal-smith artist crafting Alaskan artwork.
