Most positions include room and board and Bettles Lodge furnishes transportation from Fairbanks. We ask that before applying you understand that we are a small wilderness operation. Job descriptions be what they may, we ask all employees to be willing to jump in and fill in where and when needed. We take pride in our work to ensure the highest quality service for our guests. Bettles Lodge is committed to providing a safe environment for guests and staff.
All staff members are subject to pre-employment drug screening, as well as random
drug/alcohol tests throughout the season. A positive drug test or use of alcohol
or illegal drugs while on duty will result in immediate termination.
Bettles Lodge and Air Service is accepting resumes for the following positions:
1. Cook- Must be self motivated willing to work long hours in a lodge setting. Mainly a one person show in the kitchen so must be able and willing to perform all kitchen duties. Must be "people" oriented as cook works directly with guests.
2. Front Desk
Manager -
Supervises hotel front desk, performs administrative
paperwork. Computer skills required and prior hotel/resort guest services
desired. Extensive guest contact. Data entry, filing, correspondence,
telephone. Counter sales gift shop, liquor, and lodging.
Must be personable and enjoy working with clients from all parts of the
world.
3. Maintenance- Need a "jack of all trades" willing to maintain a historic lodge with T.L.C. Includes vehicle maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and outdoor grounds maintenance, plus fix whatever breaks! Ability to operate equipment such as backhoe, loader, dump truck a plus.
4. Pilot- Must be experienced! Float plane operation including DHC-2, Cessna 185, Cessna 206. Ability to fill in as a Navajo captain a plus. Seasonal starting June 1 to Sept 30.
5. Outdoor "all around person"- Outdoor person to support float plane operation, load and unload aircraft, pump fuel, work with maintenance crew, maintain lawns, etc, etc. Must be self motivated and willing to jump in with both feet.

8. Internships Bettles Lodge has limited openings for interns from other countries through any approved program. Contact us if you are interested in an intership.
Positons in Fairbanks Bettles Air Office
1. Receptonist Greet Guests and check-in passengers for flights. Office filing, answer phones, make reservations and bookings. Computer skills required. Part time is possible.
2. Ramp Help Load and unload baggage, aircraft cleaning, hanger upkeep, light building maintenence, and mechanics helper. June through Sept. Possible winter part time.
