A Holiday Thought

Dashing young rakes and ladies quite fair,
Seem more common now; not quite as rare.

Wine red roses on a baby’s-breath bed,
Just goes to show that tradition ain’t dead

Arrowshot hearts surrounding two names,
Just one of the tricks of young lover’s games.

Candies and kisses and other things sweet,
Bring smiles and hugs when two people meet.

Where is this going, this small little verse?
It’s a holiday greeting, hopefully not terse.

By the saint it is named for; you need not ask who.
May today bring you happiness and your loved ones joy too.

Happy Valentine’s Day

May today be filled with love, friendship, laughter, and smiles.
