An Offering

Write me a story of love and relation.
Write me a story of the heart.
Weave the tale 'twixt spirit and soul;
Bound by needs of the flesh.
Form the image behind closed eyes,
And hold on with shadowy arms.
Offer this dream and this wish
Upon the altar of your secret self.

Deep within soulful eyes;
Between caress and kiss,
I hold my lover with thought and wish.
Binding, even as I am bound.
Blood and tears are my sacrifice
To all the divinities of love.
For this lover is only a dream.
Only a thought. Only a wish.
