A Journey

Fire rise and lightning strike,
Destruction calls to its like.
Vengence burns and yearns to slay,
While those of peace forgive and pray.

Ringed around with steel and blood,
Fighting hard through the rain and mud.
Anger and pain the only light to see,
Pride demands it’s own harsh fee.

Fires burn and the wounded cry,
Death comes quick to bid goodbye.
Anger cooled and pride is spent,
Now those of peace may heal the rent.
