Here are some of my plans for media coverage:

• Press releases to all news media in Anchorage.   This will feature my major supporters, my training schedule, preparation and details on the ride.   My web site address will be featured in all press releases.

• Weekend "training-rides" will be held in public locations such as shopping malls, store lobbies etc.   These "training-rides" will feature 4-8 hours of riding on a stationary trainer.  Flyers and banners, and other handout material will feature the American Lung Association, my supporters, and the web-site.  The news media will be invited.

• An on-line auction (on the Internet) will be held in late April through early May.  This "silent" auction which will last for two or more weeks, will allow bidding on the Internet.  It will feature products and services donated to the cause. 

My web site now takes over 20 pages to make a printout, and the ride hasn't even started.  With my goal to have journals and pictures of the event completed during the ride, I will have enough material for a book by the end of the ride.

So a book is planned.  And since support is an integral part of this event, my supporters will be featured.

I'll sell anything to help in this fund-raising. 

• All of my supporters get their name on my web-site.

• The $500 level of support will get your company logo and a link to the company's web-site on my web site.  I will also include a one sentence "ad" with the logo.

• At the $1,000 level, I will list your company's name in my supporter list to be provided with all my news releases.

• At the $2,500 level, will get a logo on my bike.  Logo size is approximately 1 square foot.  I am limited to two logos, one located on each side of the bike and placed over the rear wheel.

• At the $5,000 level, you will get your logo on my safety flag.

• (For Bill Gates Only)  For $6,000, I will feature Mr. Gates' picture on my safety flag.  If Bill Gates will autograph the flag, then I will auction the flag to the highest bidder during the "on-line" auction" with the proceeds going to the "GTE Big Ride Across America" fund.  The flag will be delivered to the highest bidder after the ride.

• At the $12,000 level I will feature your company in all my media coverage.  I will wear your company's logo clothing.
