1. Your transportation to remote Growler Island Camp near Columbia Glacier is provided by Stan Stephens Cruises from both Whittier and Valdez. No need to hire an expensive drop-off.
2. You begin and end your kayak tour at a high point. No need to spend days paddling just to get there and back.
3. Local guides and Prince William Sound experts, Jim and Nancy Lethcoe, will help you plan your kayaking trip to optimize your time in the area.
4. The waters inside Glacier Island are very protected so windy weather and rough sea conditions are rarely problems.
5. Although most of our renters prefer to camp out, staying at comfortable Growler Island Camp is always an option during inclement weather.
6. Unlike drop-offs, tour boat schedules are reliable and rarely affected by weather.
What Kind of Kayaks do you Rent?
1. We have two double Necky "Amaruks", two double Northwest "Seascapes," several double Aire "Sea Tiger II's," one single Northwest "Pursuit", one single Northwest "Cadence" and two single Sea Tiger I 's.
What equipment do you Provide?
1. We provide at no extra cost : Pfds, paddles, spray skirts, pumps and paddle floats.
2. VHF rentals $10/day
What are your Prices?
1. Doubles rent for $65 for the first day and 20% off for each subsequent day.
2. Singles rent for $45 for the first day and 20% off for each subsequent day.
