To enjoy some of the best outdoor recreation remote Alaska has to offer, you don't have to be uncomfortable or mortgage your home.

The camp's private, heated platform tents offer bunk-style beds providing comfortable accommodations for those who want to enjoy a remote wilderness experience without suffering the hardships that Alaskan conditions can deliver. After an exhilerating day's hiking, sea kayaking or sailing in the Columbia Glacier area, you can retire to the comfort of a warm, dry bed. Each tent offers a unique and magical view of Prince William Sound.

Six Person tents -Double occupancy - $200/night . Additional persons $25/night.

In addition to the tents there are several small cabins and an A-frame. The smaller cabins are suitable for parties of up to four and like the tents are heated. Most have bunkbeds but the log cabin has a double bed in the loft and is our "honeymoon suite." The A-frame is perfect for large groups or families. and can accommodate up to 8 people on two levels with a main floor and a loft. All of the cabins have wonderful views of iceberg filled Columbia Bay. Most have stunning views of the glacier as well.

Four person cabins - Double occupancy - $250/night. Additional persons $25/night.

A-Frame - $500/night up to 5 persons. Additional persons $25/night.

Camp meals are served in a central cook tent perched on a bluff overlooking Columbia Glacier. A hearty camp breakfast is served at 8:00 am. so that campers will have a full day to explore the area. Lunches will be packed for those going on full day excursions. Those returning to Valdez in the evening will join tour boat guests for an Alaskan seafood buffet. Those without a boat to catch may attend the evening camp meal at 7:00 pm.

Growler Island Camp prices include all meals but do not include the trip to the island or naturalist guided kayaking, sailing and hiking activities which are $94/person /day.
