  1. If you've ever needed a hero, then you've opened the right door. The men in these pages are hot, the beer is cold and the women eat monsters for breakfast.

  1. So stay awhile and see what it's all about. But be warned, a journey into this universe is a one way trip. You might never be the same. ~ Commander Ryven Atarus, a Scorpio

No Words Alone

Sometimes, love shines like a billion stars.

As the only woman in a team of marooned explorers, whom do you trust—your friends...or your enemy?

When Xera is stranded on a desert planet with a hostile crew and a cadre of murdering aliens, her friends aren’t who she thinks they are. As the translator, she’s the only one who can forge a truce. As the only woman, she’s the prize they lust for, and when her captain turns on her, she’s going to need the help of her enemies to escape his wrath.

Because on this inhospitable world, the warlike Scorpio were her only chance. Looking into the fiery eyes of their handsome leader, Xera saw a nobility and potency she’d never before encountered—a reaction she knew her fellow humans would despise. A future with Commander Ryven was…something to consider. But first they had to survive.

Book 2 in the Spark Series:

When Sparks Fly

Polaris just got a little hotter.

Perhaps it was his wild black hair and indigo eyes, or maybe it was his enigmatic aura, but there was something about Hyna Blue that drew Gem. The man had clearly done hard labor, his cybernetic implants gave him increased strength, but he was no longer whole…and now he was getting drunk in her tavern. Yes, Hyna Blue aroused instincts both carnal and nurturing. Gem’s blood had been fiery to start with. Blue heated it even more.

Of course, since the planet of Polaris discovered its trainum mine, things were hot all over. Prosperity had blown in on a solar wind, along with many disreputable types, the least deceptive of which were the shape-shifting aliens. The ruined beauty of one patron and his drunken proposals were the least of Gem’s worries—and perhaps her one solace. Like her father had named it long ago, this inn was The Spark. Gem had to survive the blaze.

BTW, I'm also in the process of getting my rights back from New Concepts Publishing (all nice and polite and tidy). I suggest you grab whatever print books from them you can't live without, because when they're gone, they're gone. Sure, I'll try to publish them with NY, but it may take years to see your favorite in print again. The publishers have to space these things, you see. That's maybe four books a year if I'm a very busy me.

These are the dates my books will no longer be available at NCP:

2/09 Bad Moon Rising
1/7/2009 Homecoming
8/29/2009 Interstellar Lover
12/08 Ride the Stars
2/09 Something Wild this Way Comes
5/16/2010 The White Rabbit
2/09 The Woman Inside

2008 Notes

Yikes, what a year! I've had bronchitis, been picked up by Dorchester Publishing, had my daughter suffer a dog bite to the face (36 stitches, multiple doctor trips, STRESS!), had my oldest son get a concussion at the swimming pool and shivered through the coldest summer I can remember. I think we skipped June this year. Amazingly, I'm still here, still thriving, still writing. I've also learned how wonderful family and friends can be in a crisis. Thanks, everyone who helped get me through this crazy year. God bless!
