Here is an opportunity for people who truly enjoy the outdoors and want to be on their own. A canoe adventure on a slow moving river. We have several options available to suit your schedule. You may bring your own fishing gear, or you may use ours. You will need to bring your own hip boots and rain gear. Arctic Blue Adventures will provide the transportation to and from the river, take you to the store for groceries and supplies you may need, and will provide the camping gear.

canoe3.jpg - 22.3 K The canoes that we use are top of the line models from Mad River and Dagger. These canoes are very stable and even a beginner will feel safe using them. Each canoe can handle loads up to 1200 pounds, yet weigh only 65 pounds each. This makes them very easy to carry when you stop for the evening. We use only class I and II rivers for these adventures so that everyone will feel safe, and have a great time.

There are endless photographic opportunities and wildlife viewing. Be on the lookout for Grizzlie and Black Bear, Moose, Beaver, Bald Eagles and countless waterfowl species.

The fishing is always great for Raibow Trout, Dolly Varden, King Salmon as well as Red, Silver and Pink Salmon. Fishermen come here from all over the world just to experience the beauty of this Greatland and enjoy the incredible fishing adventures that await them on these rivers.

canoe2.jpg - 22.7 K If you come into town the day of your trip, we will pick you up at the airport and have things ready for your trip. We will explain the safety needs of the areas you will be in. We will provide you with a detailed map of the area and show you how to use a GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) that we provide for your trip. If you have a cellular telephone, it is always a good idea to take it with you. We provide dry bags for storing the camping gear and your belongings.
