Proceed through Soldotna approximately 2 miles. Now turn left on Knight Drive. This road will be across from the first car wash on the Spur Hwy.

(From Kenai) If you are flying into Kenai and picking up your rental vehicle there, ask the counter person to direct you from the airport to the Kenai Spur Hwy. Its a single street to take and easy to follow. Turn left onto the Spur Hwy and travel approximately 9.5 miles to Soldotna, where you will turn right onto Knight Drive (across from the car wash).

Once on Knight Drive continue until you reach Silver Run Way, which is at the bottom of a good-sized hill. Turn right on Silver Run Way and go down about 2.5 Blocks to where it T's onto another road. Turn left on River Avenue, and park along the fence on your left. This is all Poacher's Cove property. If you proceed straight to the river, you will see my boat. It has a large #017 guide number on its side and is located a couple boats down stream from the cleaning table.

What To Bring

Current Alaska fishing license, king salmon stamp, warm layered clothes, rain gear and rubber footwear. Optional items are gloves, sunglasses, hat, snacks, video and still camera gear. On our 3/4-day charters you may also want to bring a sack lunch and extra refreshments. The newest digital still cameras (Under $200) that shoot high quality VIDEO as well as high resolution PHOTOS are the perfect combination camera for taking onboard to capture all the excitement and thrills of the action as well as the photos of the end result.

The Kenai Experience

The Kenai is a large, beautiful river that has produced many large king salmon. However, fishing on the lower Kenai River is far from a wilderness experience. Much of the lower river is developed and due to its popularity, you should expect to see many other boats and fishermen. We will do our best to give you a memorable and successful fishing experience; however, fish and luck are unpredictable. We cannot guarantee fish, although we can increase your odds of catching one a great deal!
