British Isles Tour 2001
Day Three: Friday, June 29, 2001
1:45 pm (10:45 in London): Sherry Sims just called after speaking with Michael on the phone. The group had just gotten back from watching "Starlight Express". According to Michael, the special effects, etc. were really cool, but he didn't care for the music. (He would have preferred to see Phantom of the Opera!) The weather there is cloudy, but warm. Tomorrow morning, the group has free time. Most of the kids are going to the Ferris wheel. Michael is going with Hugh and his grandmother to the Tower of London to see the crown jewels. They have a performance tomorrow afternoon at 2:00. Glennis was in the background and she wanted everybody to know they are still working on getting the laptop up and running. It should be soon! Everybody is doing fine and they are having a good time!

the group did today:9:30 am: They went on a guided sightseeing tour of London, by coach (bus) - including Tower of London, Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, etc.
12:30 pm: They had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.
7:45 pm: They attended performance of "Starlight Express" at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.
