ALASKA FILING FEE INCREASES

The Alaska Supreme Court recently changed the rules making to more expensive to file cases in court. Some of the increases are set forth below:

Filing of any Civil Case in Superior Court, including divorces, dissolutions, and personal injury cases requesting over $50,000.00 in damages: $150.00.

Filing of Civil Cases in District Court, including personal injury cases requesting less than $50,000 in damages:
$90.00.

Filing of probate cases:
$150.00

Fees to Deposit a Will:
$40.00

Filing fees for Adoptions, Guardianships and Conservatorships:
$75.00.

Filing Small Claims cases requesting $2,500 or less:
$40.00.

Small Claims cases requesting $2,500.00 to $7,500.00:
$75.00.
