Circuit Description
The open-collector "pause" output holds 'Q1' off until the mini disk begins playing. "Pause" is then released and 'Q1' conducts. Relay (RLY1) switches audio from the satellite receiver to the Sony MDS-E12 which then plays directly to the FM translator/transmitter for the local announcement. With "Auto Pause" set, the player will pause again at the end of the local announcement track. "Repeat" allows the last track to roll over again to track #1 and the sequence is automatically repeated.
