History of White Wave

This is my 7th summer with White Wave, but I have spent 31 summers on the shore of Kachemak Bay. I grew up on the Homer Spit, all sand and sea grass in summer and snow drifts and high surf in winter. Spending my childhood here fostered my love of this beautiful area and my enthusiasm to share my home it with visitors. When we close White Wave for the winter, I teach elementary school in the Homer area.

To help you plan your trip to Homer, here are my favorite things to do: Zen Chai tea at K-bay Cafe; run the Homestead Trail; breakfast at Sourdough Bakery; bike the spit path; lunch at Two Sisters or Cups; walk the beach at low tide; ride Smoke Wagon Water Taxi to the State Park Trails, snack at Finn's Pizza, visit the Pratt Museum and art galleries; dinner at the Homestead Restraunt, Hobo Jim at Alice's on Wednesday night; Pier One Theater, fish with North Country Charters, camp at the Homer Spit Campground, enjoy Homer Brew around a beach fire.

I hope you enjoy your visit to Homer!
