- Description from Catalogue of
Meteorites
(2000): Bulk metal composition 7.55% Ni,
0.434%Co, 23.2 ppm Ga, 63 ppm Ge, 8.3 ppm As, 4.9 ppm Ir,
0.861 ppm Au. Widmanstatten pattern irregular; contains
abundant Troilite and schreibersite and rare chromite,
silicate, metallic.
- Total Weight Found: 376
kg (180 kg is in the Museum of Natural History, Paris)
Mont Dieu is inclined to rust. Precautions must
be taken to preserve this meteorite.
