During this 45 hour course you will learn about:
the dynamics and escalating nature of domestic violence, the effects of domestic violence on
children, how a community's response to domestic violence/sexual assault impacts victims,
community resources available to victims of domestic violence/sexual assault.
Successful completion of the course may allow volunteers to work with clients.
Prior to the start of the
workshop, those who wish to get continuing education credit must apply for it through the
Kenai Peninsula College prior to the first day of class. There is an additional charge by KPC.
