The Satellite Interconnection Project is a State of Alaska owned infrastructure for delivering Public Telecommunications Services around the State. There are four video services and nine radio services currently being distributed via satellite to various consumers around the State of Alaska. The equipment is owned by the State of Alaska and the satellite transponder time is paid in part by the State and in part by the program originators. Program originators include Public Television, Public Radio stations, The Alaska Public Radio Network and the University of Alaska. |
